Hi Today My son Jake and I helped to pace Chris Lieto during his running portion of the Buffalo Springs Triathlon. We helped to perform a Domestique service for him. Turned out that he actually paced us. he kept an average speed of 14 miles per hour for a 13 + mile course. I was most impressed with his running ability. I can only imagine his cycling speed! He won the overall title. I think I will try to put more effort in my cycling and try some running when I lose some more weight!

Father's Day Bicycle Ride

I have been riding some form of bicycle most of my life. I have a deep appreciation for all types of bicycles. I currently own several road bikes, mountain bike, fixxie, and track bike. I also own a Pashley Soveverign, Gov'nor, and Princess. I enjoy riding to train for century rides such as the Hotter Than Hell Hundred in Wichita Falls, Texas. I became interested in randonneuring with the intent of riding the Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP), but at this time do not have time to devote to preparation. I have ridden many rides for years but I will start with todays ride. I rode with my wife and daughter for about twelve miles. We rode out to the Baptist church in Slide Texas from Lubbock. I rode my Pashley Sovererign Roadster. I really enjoy the bicycle a lot except for its 55 lb weight which does not include a Carradice saddle bag. The bike is not made for speed! I am now 57 years old and I guess I am not meant for speed either. I certainly do not put the Colnago to its full potential! Tis is my first blog. I hope to continue an entry for easch ride from now on. I will try to successfully ride the HHH this year with my family. I have read alot of bike blogs. I hope this is as interesting as the others.
